Minestrone

As the weather gets colder, here’s how to make a delicious Minestrone with Kayanoya’s Original Vegetable Stock Powder, bringing out the rich umami flavor of the vegetables.

Ingredients

2-3 servings

  • 50 g block of bacon
  • 1/2 onion
  • 50 g celery
  • 2 cabbage leaves
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 packet of Kayanoya Original Vegetable Stock Powder
  • 400 ml water
  • 1/2 garlic clove
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • Black pepper, to taste
Directions
  1. Heat the olive oil and minced garlic in a pot. Add the bacon, onion, and celery, cut into 0.5 cm cubes, and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add the roughly chopped tomato and continue cooking until the liquid evaporates. Add the cabbage (cut into 2.5 cm pieces), [A], and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce to low heat and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Serve in a bowl and sprinkle with black pepper.
