Savory Cookies
Did you know you can make sweets with dashi? Here’s how to bake cookies using Kayanoya's Original Vegetable Stock Powder.
Ingredients
About 30 cookies
- 1 packet Kayanoya Original Vegetable Stock Powder
- [A] 90 g cake flour
- [A] 2 tbsp almond flour
- 80 g unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
- Black pepper (to taste)
Directions
- Sift [A], and bring butter and egg yolk to room temperature.
- Cream the butter with a spatula, add sugar, and mix until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolk and mix well.
- Add [A], Kayanoya Original Vegetable Stock Powder, and grated parmesan cheese. Once the dough comes together, divide it in half and shape each piece into a log about 2.5 cm in diameter.
(Optionally, sprinkle black pepper on the surface of the dough.) - Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Slice the dough into 0.3-inch thick rounds and bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 16-18 minutes.
